NISO Input Forum Bibliographic Roadmap

Examine issues around 'authority' (in a larger sense) and maintenance of library data, given a tension between community (social) data and expert data. Find measures to use to evaluate incoming data to be able to identify areas to improve.

Who are they? How can they and their input be measured? Privacy issues. "Hit and run" versus regular users. Open use cases, etc.

Create a forum and wiki space for sharing linked data projects, perhaps piggy backing on the OpenBiblioProject list or Code4Lib. Track what syntax/vocabularies are in use.

Create prototypes to tease out what needs to be addressed by interchange formats and what needs to be addressed by interactions between systems (API calls). Prototypes should include different models: complete import of data; just linking; hybrids.
