E-book Annotation Sharing Alternatives

For the group developing standards for e-book annotations, sharing of these needs to be more discriminatory than the current "all or nothing" that Amazon does with Kindle. Perhaps a good companion to our data set presetnations: what is e-science librarianship? What roles to e-science librarians play? What skills does an e-science librarian need to have? ARL/DLF have been doing e-science programming since 2011, but is an overview for a larger audience worth considering?
